danielle hacche was born in poole, dorset in the southwest of the united kingdom. after moving to the united states with her family in 1993, hacche attended new school for the arts where she was able to focus on developing her style and craft in high school. upon graduating, she pursued a foundation degree at falmouth college of art and design back in england, and then went on to the school of the art institute of chicago where she completed her bachelor of fine art with a presidential scholarship. hacche now resides in phoenix, az.

her work is rooted in the visual languages of brutalist architecture, bauhaus design, and modernism. she’s drawn to stripped-back forms, natural textures, and minimalist ideals, while reimagining them through a softer, more feminine lens. the raw textures and simplicity reflect a sense of honesty and permanence, while soft, ethereal hues temper the angular forms of architectural minimalism. this creates a dialogue between the brutal and the delicate, the structural and the intuitive.

negative space is treated with as much importance as painted space — creating balance and openness for viewers to find their own meaning. the material itself breathes, allowing simplicity and color to hold presence. each piece is an invitation to slow down, to notice, and to take joy in the quiet dialogue between form and emptiness.
