MIDDLE SEAT4 APRIL — 12 MAY 2024Oft-recognized for his cheetah figures, Orlando recently shifted gears to creating collages (and paintings) of cars that—through the process of painting, cutting, and assembling—parallels the artist’s journey of breakdown and recovery in one’s hopes of regaining “wholeness.” Battling depression and anxiety for years, he employs his creative process to help reconcile the internal conflicts that plague him.
Middle Seat featured seven new original collages and paintings, four original works on paper, and a limited edition run of 25 hand-embellished canvas totes, each signed and numbered. The exhibition opened Thursday, 4 April 2024 at Aftermarket.
